I don't drink very often, but I love browsing Costco's alcohol section. The Kirkland brand vodka bottle is a steal! My buddy bought one for a New Years party a few years back and it did the trick. Costco has a good deal on the 1.75L Grey Goose bottle too. My memory isn't perfect but I want to say it was around $45.

This is why they usually go for the high end stuff thats has been more heavily filtered and therefore taste even less "alcoholy".

be a man, drink whiskey. Straight or at least on the rocks.
Spoken for truth. I will take a nice glass of whiskey any day. mmmmmm....
Just had some of the Anchor Distilling Old Portero. I am usually not a huge rye whiskey person, but boy this stuff hits the spot.

But if you want a good and cheaper vodka, this is my go do bottle. Safeway usually sells it for $17.00 or so. Stolichnaya

Try Ketel One. K1 is a good alternative to goose. I'm not a huge fan of vodka, but if i had to choose one it'd be k1 or goose.

I've been drinking Ketel One over Grey Goose for at least 3 or 4 years now. I think it's around $33 instead of $45.

Anchor's distillery is very cool in person.

+1 for whiskey over vodka.

Costco Vodka IS Grey Goose. It comes from the same batches. Only difference is that Grey Goose is distilled one more time.

I read a review of Sobiesky vodka being very good. It's about $10 a bottle. It is some liquor review site on the web that claimed it to be 4.5/5 stars...some crazy **** like that.

if you're mixing it, it doesn't matter. well is fine for that.. but if you are a name brand ***** (like most people at the bar) stoli is good for the price.

Absolut is good for their flavors as they retain the 80 proof.

Ciroc has been my long time favorite for sipping on... until P diddy started endorsing it.

and I've heard good things about Hangar 1(?) and they're local(?)

I have never been to the distillery part, but I went on the Brewery tour about a year and a half ago. I would recommend that to anyone. Just get your reservations months in advance.

one things for sure, crystal palace vodka is awful! It feels like industrial strength drain cleaner going down even heavily diluted.

One thing's for sure, I love Absolut Vanilla in my white russian. Makes is soooooooo good.

Anyone tried the jack daniels honey whiskey?

You wanna know the best alcohol related item I've ever bought

http://graykangaroo.com/liquorfilter/index_age.php

90% of what makes good vs bad vodka is filtering. This handy little tool is an inline filter... you'll be shocked at how well it works. A bottle of cheap store-brand vodka in a plastic bottle becomes sipable after a few passes through this thing.
Good for Tequila and Whiskey too
