Do not install you detector in this manner. It is behind the matrix and the tint at the top of the wind shield. This drastically reduces it's range. The chances of missing a LIDAR hit are high too as it sits so high on the wind shield.

I have one of these and it is perfect...

thats pretty cool but I think I could make something thats pretty decent for cheaper than $40+

It is nice tho
