The original Rising Suns started in Berkeley in the early 1970’s. This was an era of exceptional basketball starting with Berkeley High School which was the best High School team in California to the University of California which had a number of players play in the NBA. The Berkeley Rising Suns were made up of mostly Berkeley High School graduates. The team was very successful in the Asian community leagues and tournaments. The Rising Suns epitomized the essence of competitive basketball and was the driving force behind the many organizations, coaches and leaders of the past that are responsible for forming the new East Bay Rising Suns. The goal or mission of the East Bay Rising Suns is to form competitive level boys and girls basketball teams of different grades to compete with other top level Asian basketball organizations throughout the state. The Rising Suns embodies many East Bay organizations, coaches, supporters and players. Drawing from pools of basketball excellence in the East Bay, a new generation of young boys and girls have been selected to participate on teams that will represent community pride and spirit of competition. Each year the Rising Suns plan to host their own tournament in the East Bay and invite other Asian teams from all over California. The Suns hope to show an exciting brand of basketball skill along with team spirit and sportsmanship.

How can you take any "crew" seriously with a name like rising suns? They may be good drivers, and they may be tough, but jebus, get a new name!

Watch out for the "beautiful sunsets" crew, of and don't forget the "long walks on the beach" crew.

actaully when u come to the intersection u can go strait or make the left onto Bear Creak, go strait the road is better its twisties not big sweepers. also you guys see cops out there? ive seen one two cops and i go out there all the time *knock on wood*

lol oh a girl from walnut creek was telling me about some crew called.. "the rising suns".. i kinda just laughed and thought in my head if they were trying to copy the "Red Suns" or that one initial d song where they repeat "We are the rising suns! We are the rising suns!" lol.. but no zoeb i will not try to keep up with the evo or Dan Avon. Daniel has very very nice suspension and engine mods that will zoom through twisties like theres no tomorrow!
