Beaches that allow all night bon fires?
Hey guys im planning on taking a trip to the beach with a bunch of friends for my birthday next month.
Im looking for a beach that lets you have a bonfire going all night, drinking allowed. Preferably without having to pay a entree fee =) (cuzz im cheap like that)
Im thinking somewhere either in santa cruz or monterey?
Thanks,
Theo

You're pretty much SOL everywhere you go. I had a talk with the sergeant of Pacifica PD and he told me that its pretty much impossible to find a spot, and if you do, its probably still illegal, just not enforced.
So good luck to you.

check out davenport. I have been to several bonfires there and have not once been hassled by patrol.
it is like 10 miles north from the boardwalk on hwy 1.
Nice secluded beach for bonfires. There is a cliff overhanging it also so you won't bother anyone. Only catch is you have a bit of a hike to get down there.

bon fires are fun as hell... we should all get together and do one.
good location: on "ipozezdu's" front lawn!!!
I'd say do it on my lawn, but well, I don;t have a lawn, and the threat of having 30,000 or so rounds go off in said fire would be

how about seabright beach in santa cruz?
fire rings are avaliable so having a fire would not be illegal.
im jwing how well patrolled this beach is...since everyone will be drinking...and the beach closes at 10pm
