Bay Area Window Tinting Recommendations?

I'm considering getting some (legal) window tinting for my STI, anyone have a recommendation for a good shop? I live in the East Bay but depending on quality of work and economics I might consider other areas.

TIA

If you are down in the South Bay I would recommend Quality Auto Glass and Window Tinting on El Camino and Pomeroy in Santa Clara.

http://www.qualityglasstint.com/

Good prices, great workers and environment.

And remember - always go with the 3M; it's expensive but worth it for the warranty and quality.

A lot of people on this board recommend Vince at OMEGA tintworks, He's from Pleasanton.

3723 Old Santa Rita Road
Ste 16
(between Andrews Dr & Rosewood Dr)
Pleasanton, CA 94588

(925) 227-1322

From what I hear his tints last forever with no bubbling or cracking.

true east bay... Brentwood. They have a shop called Platinum. Go on that yellowpage thing were they review places. Platinum tinting and custom car audio 3 years running got the best reviews.

+ I went there 2 days a go to get tint all the way around for 200 bucks. They finished in about an hour and can't brlive the quality they did.

+10000000 on platinum! i got my windows done there and my girls windows too. There are pretty quick and do a really good job. They will tint your windows however dark you want them, illegal or legal.

Perfect timing of this thread, I need some tinting done as well. However, I am in the San Francisco/upper peninsula area, any recommendations for there?

Also, would any of the mentioned places so far be able to remove old tint? It was a horrible job and I am primarily afraid to screw up the heating elements on the rear widow

Thank you guys a lot, I really appreciate all the responses. I really didn't want to end up going somewhere and getting a crappy job done!

I don't know yet. I'm not terribly well versed on window tinting. I did look up the maximum legal tint in California last night, and plan on going with that. However, I'm open to any advice from more experienced people
