damn this reminds me when i was driving a friends dinan5 and a cop pulled me over because i was speeding.... but i also got sent to the state ref because of a "modified engine" i was like WTF... these came stock from bmw dealers haha.. cops these day think they know all there car....

Got pulled over and questioned about my "huge" wing on the back, and where I bought it from.
"It came stock on the car sir."
"No it didn't."

Those street racing events are soooo lame... It's not just the fact that they are street racing, but the mentality of most of those "racers" is WHACK! It's like watching a low budget version of the fast and the furious only with really ugly people with mostly crappy cars... 
I used to work in Milpitas at adaptec right near where people used to race (this was back in like 2000)... sometimes we'd have to pull the night shift which was from 10pm to 7am due to products shipping at odd hours... anyway, I encountered crowds of ricers a couple of times while at work... I had my work badge handy just in case the cops questioned me... I actually had a valid/legit answer of why I was there (for once in my life I had a valid excuse for something!)
But yeah, the mentality of those ricers is just ridiculous... Bunch of thugs and generally low IQ with no regard to laws of safety.
I remember watching a video once of a street race gathering much like the one in the video posted above... The focus was on some guy and his wife/GF racing their BMW... the only problem was that they had their BABY in the back seat (in a baby seat). This guy wasn't just watching the race, he was actually RACING!
Just goes to show what kind of idiots show up to those events.
