Street Racing was fun to watch back in the days before "crackdowns". Back then it was only about 10 or 15 muscle cars and most people knew each other. That was my experience in the early to mid 90's

Looked like 2 subies got busted.. cop said 50 tickets and 10 tows. 10 tows were the actual racers but the 50 tickets were people watching with modified exhaust and engines and some had no drivers license. They said they are starting the busts now to get ready for summer.

 

eh, is it just me? the more i mod my car( aka the more money i dump into it) the slower i drive it anyways... haha

 

So that guy Michael was there to stop his brother from racing ? Yeah, right. He was going to race too !
Loosers, just keep it safely to the track.

 

I have no sympathy for any of them, even if the two subies are members on here....that's what you get for participating in something like that

Oh, and you can get a ticket or watching, you don't need to have a modded exhaust or have no DL, you can get a ticket just for being there

 

wow, this is amazing. i saw they were towing a subaru. so why would they tow cars? what if someone was just driving through the wrong place at the wrong time? they were even looking under the hood.

 

the biggest citation was modified exhausts. wow.

 

no, there has to be more than that...when they were looking at the EG hatch, they were talking about turbos, blow off valves, and so forth, so i'm certain that some people might have even got state ref tickets

 

they said they had undercover cops video taping the races and wrote the plates down so they knew which to tow.

 

so i am running a TBE that is catted? if i ever get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, would i be ticketed to death? i have a legal SPT intake in the car, but only the exhaust is what worries me.

keep in mind, i don't race anyone on the streets at all, ever.

 

does your cat and intake have a CARB number that must be visible? the modified exhaust ticket is because of Db levels. which is a fixit ticket, so no biggy, but make sure u have all ur other stuff straight (ins/license/reg) so when u get pulled over they dont get u on other stuff for pulling you over for the original BS reason.

 

taking two cars out to a lonely road and putting some **** talking to rest is one thing, but when you've got 50 cars out there, lined up on both sides of the road, that's a whole nother thing. I'm hoping these people learn their lesson and try to take it to the track.
