Bay area rifle shooting ranges

I'd like to work on my marksmanship. I know there's some firearms types on here, so where's a good place to go practice 100-200 yard shooting?

target masters in Fremont, next to AutoInnovations. Not sure if they allow rifles. Chabot Gun Club does for sure

eek, targetmasters scares me. I went there once, and the whole place gave me a bad vibe. No, I was mostly looking for outdoor ranges. For indoor pistol ranges, I'd go to the Reed's indoor range (What used to be National Shooting Club) in Santa Clara.

Target masters only has a 25 and a 50 yr range. Theres a place in sunnyvale that will let you shoot 50cal. and has a 100yd range. If not there, your best bet is Concord.

I still have a National Shooting Club card somewhere. That place is cool. I saw some guy who was about 5' tall blasting a 50cal. Desert Eagle, and it was knocking him back on every blast. Pretty comical.

There used to be an outdoor range a long time ago right near the Dumbarton Bridge, on the Menlo Park side. I don't know if it is still there or not.

There's a range in Richmond. I think it's called the Richmond Rod and Gun Club or something.

They have 100 yard range and 200 yard range and smallbore rifle and handgun range.

Sacramento shooting center in rancho muerita. they used to have some special ranges out to 500yards. I used to shoot at the 1000yrd range too about 5 years ago

i know for a fact they have a 100yrd and 300yrd range for rifle and a 25-50yd for pistol.

It's all outside but very clean... the seats are movable and comfortable and all rifle benches and rests are all poured concrete.

It's worth it to check it out. Im pretty sure there's a paintball center out in the area too.

If you need any advice on shooting etc i'd be happy to help.

eric
