there is a chp car on 80 east right after you leave vallejo. he is sitting on the on ramp and can't see him until it is too late. so slow down there even though it is always tempting.

they can be everywhere. its never safe (physically and financially) to break laws on public roads.

what are the rules on police driving though? are they allowed to speed or drive without headlights? ive seen it.

i've been tagged twice on the Nimitz in Fremont, 880 North between Mission blvd and Auto Mall Pkwy. CHP hangs out at the weigh station by NUMMI, and if they see someone jammin, they just bone out of the weigh station and get right behind you before you know it. once you look in your rear view, thats when they turn on their lights. gotcha. they let me off the hook once, and the other time the dude pulled two cars over at once.

what i've been seeing on the highway past 8 months. and everytime i past this spot, i often see them at the same time. so, better drive slow.

280 North Bound:

- Millbrae entrance; often see 2-3 cops car park 5 feet before the entrance,
they perfectly hide behind the highway wall, so nobody on the highway can
see them. use this entrance a lot, see them often. time: mostly rush hour
time, sometimes late nite (21:00 to 23:00).

280 South Bound:

- Between 380 and Millbrae exit; stop at the side of the highway
(horizontally).while the cops use the radar from inside his or her car. time:
mostly in the afternoon.

- Between Black Mountain Road, Hayne Road and 92 West exit; stop at the
side of the highway, the cops often outside the car using his radar gun.
time:mostly rush hour time untill about 19:00

- Between 92 east exit and Farm Hill Blvd exit (redwood city); either stop at
the entrance of the highway or cruising around. sometime use camaro or
charger. Time: all day long. Chances getting ticket: high!! (i go to Canada
College a lot, so drive this road often)

hope this will help you guys avoid the expensive tickets. Drive carefully but not as fast as those above the law Chimps though. hehehe. :P

San Mateo Bridge (92)
East and Westbound.

East Bound: saw 1 with radar and 5 CHP cars lined up ready to pull people over this morning (4.16.08) on the Hayward side. Also like to hang out in the bushes just before the bridge on the Foster City side.

West Bound: I've seen CHP hiding in the emergenct truck parking on the right side at the end of the bridge (Foster city) and under the overpass in the shadows Tricky...go slow after the high rise people!

84 WEST Dumbarton Bridge Fremont/Newark side. After the toll plaza, on the way to the actual bridge, there is always CHP on the shoulder after the slight left hand bend right before where the bridge starts to incline, near the radio station tower. it's right after the bend so he'll radar you before you know it. so, drive the speed limit after the toll plaza until you get over the hump.

Highway 1 in the Monterey Bay area is going to have continued ramping up of the CHP. Apparently they are cracking down on drunk drivers which I think is great, however I think they're going to harass the imports a little as well. Anyway, watch out on Highway 1 going through MBay.

in pleasanton on West Las Positas.

if you're on WLP traveling towards Stoneridge, just after Hacienda, on the right side there is a long business park. at the end of it (on the right side), there is a large parking lot.

99% of the time i go by, i see a cruiser parked there.

i wont go into any personal driving stories - they'd only prove to upset everyone.
