I am looking for breeders for westies too. This is what i know for my research so far. go online and find the Yokie clubs first ( the offical club) they will offend have a list of breeder in your area. Pet shops are dogs from puppy farm (not good). Most places advertise are not true breeders like on craigslist and newspaper. True breeder don't advertise.. you can meet them by attenting to dog shows.. Tre breeder have champion parents therefore good breed.

check out your local animal shelter for an adoption, or look for a regional breed club (ie: northern CA yorkshire terrier club). Or go to the AKC website (www.akc.org) and look at their breeders list. even if the breeder doesnt have a litter available, they'll most likely know who in the near by area does.
however, +1 for giving an already born pup a good home

well i wont really say they are bad news it depends on a dog and how the owner treats the dog and how trainned the dog is
my mom and sister jus left the dog, his making alot of that sad sound .couple of minutes ago
now while im typing this ... the dog is on my lap and cuddling and sleeping
yorkshire needs alot of attention if u give it to them they will respect and also you need to show them whos boss
