Bay Area Car Audio Shops?

Where is a good place to get a stereo installed. It's just an mp3 or hardrive based head unit. Not a big deal. I just don't want a place that does shoddy half-assed work. Don't want any interior damage or nuts and bolts left out.

Any tips on where to actually purchase said headunit? Online sources, etc.?

There are to places in the bar area that are fantastic for high end ultra high quality work both of them are in marin. One place is call MASA (marin auto stereo and alarm) and the other being one of the best places in the country to get your car worked on for stereos would be Rolling Thunder. You will not have a problem at either one of those places for sure

Thanks for the input. I forgot to mention that it's on a friends car. Unfortunately not a Subaru. Audiomobile sounds like the winner so far. Any others?

audiomobile gets another thumbs up, they have one down here in cambell as well. They are one of the few shops that really knows their craft, glassing, leather work, you name it.

It shouldn't be too hard to do if you know how to pull off the bezel. Let me know if you'd be interested in me helping you out on the install. I did my own stereo system in my car (including amping of all door speakers, which I'm quite proud of since it was such a PITA) . As for shop recommendations... I don't have one .

Custom Car Alarms in Pleasant Hill. I know Mike and Ning personally. Their work is top notch.
