What the state needs to do, is fire every one of the lazy good for nothing union bart workers, hire in non union people who will take a job at 13 bucks a hour, and be done with it.

Awesome! Unions fail again.
Why can't people (BART workers that voted to strike) be grateful to have a job these days and man up like the rest of us have to? Guess I'll be crashing on friends couches most of the week to avoid the gridlock between west coco county and santa clara county (880).

What we need is BART to not completely suck.
They need to start offering trains that run 24 hours a day. At a MINIMUM they should be running the trains until something like 3:00 AM. BART stops running at like Midnight, yet Bars close at 2:00 AM. Good Job BART for promoting Drunk Driving.

Wow, I typed my personal positive Union experience and it didn't post...nvm, unions can be good or bad...they do protect minimum employees, they also protect abusing bosses.
in short, I used to have to work unpaid overtime (I'm a professional, so it's legal), after we went union, no more unpaid OT. Everyone has the same salary, no car bonus for the guy that shmoozes the boss.
We also had the union protect plain stupid people, who shouldn't have been working there after their 6 month trial...no ability to fire them once they are on the union books, even if they are dangerous, unless you can catch them stealing.
