SBC DSL
I wish i was paying more attention in Feb when they ran that deal for the 1.5-6MBit connection!

Download Speed: 2469 kbps (308.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 412 kbps (51.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

I'm paying $35/mo for the 3008/512 package from SBC YAHOO DSL.

At 17,330ft from my CO, I'm pretty damn happy. (I'm connected to a RT somewhere in case you were wondering)

SBC DSL
Another thing, your contract is for life. Meaning, if you call to make any changes to your DSL, like rerate or something, you 6Mbit deal is GONE! So, once your 1 yr contract is up, and you want to keep that connection, just pay the $65/mo.

OR you can switch to comcast, and get roughly the same speeds for slightly less.

yes I am indeed prorated and if I change anything i would have to go to the 3mb plan. which may happen next year.

Check the dsl forums:

http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,12188407

As far as I know $44.95 is the price. (plus some taxes FUSF etc)

What is the Comcast price for a 6mb plan?

go it. So it is comparable but SBC DSL loses since they do not offer one any more.

Is there a different package (slower for the Cable folks)?

I'll put it this way, Speakeasy's network isn't fast enough for me to get accurate readings here at work.
