People do understand that if you were going to make an aftermarket engine, you wouldn't have a warranty, right? The fact that Paul is offering a warranty if he installs it is beyond me!!! Not only is he offering a friggin built engine, but he's offering a warranty if he installs it!?!??! WHO DOES THAT!?
Damn, we're so lucky to have such kick *** vendors supporting BAIC.

The only problem with offering complete "Warranties" with an engine is that for something that's custom built to be a performance engine is that with certain customers it can be hard to completely define the line between engine failure due to something the installer/builder did vs. something stupid the car owner did.

How does a shop warranty any product if that product fails during a track event?
One year ago...almost to the day...I rebuilt an EJ25 NA engine for a very good customer.
He brought it in a few weeks ago with a rod knock.
Checking the dipstick revealed that there was next to no oil in the engine.
Maintenance records showed that ~5k miles elapsed between oil changes...with no visual checks of oil level.
Clearly not my fault/problem.
He got a new engine for 1/2 price.

If the problem is due to the customer why would the work still have a warranty? I think what Paul did was great to build his engine at hafl price!
