Yup, it's exactly that.

Also, that gray 2.5RS in the photo just above is friggin SICK! Not only does it look AMAZING, but it has the ***** to back up it's aggressive looks! Not only does it have a more powerful engine, but combine a stage 2 car with an 05 2.5L engine and you have A LOT of power thanks to the car's power to weight ratio.

I don't know how I've never seen that car before, but damn! He did everything correctly and just as I would do if I had the money to fix up my RS... My dream color and everything!

Since we have a few months til the BAM, can we throw these guys in there? I understand that there is already voting underway, but I saw these cars and was shocked that nobody had nominated them...

You def have enough time to organize all the threads that would be required because you're online a lot, and all you'd have to do is show up at the event and run the car show... You seem passionate enough about it.
Same reason I'm not a MOD. The powers that be.

Early on I threw some ideas out there and people weren't all that receptive. I talked with I<3 a few times and he liked the ideas but obviously didn't use any of them. AVE is doing it now and I don't want to steal his thunder. I've throw stuff out regarding this meet and the shows for YEARS and people don't like the ideas... well not the powers that be anyways.

Car shows really aren't all that complex. We had a HUGE turnout for the last car show we did and it took very little time to pick the winners.

This right here is an online car show. If you're gonna call it that then cool. Say hey.. this is an online car show and the winner will be announced at BAM and be awarded his/her isht. (that may have been done)

That was not my understanding. My understanding was that it was a BAM car show and the cars in the thread where just to narrow it down to actual show participants... not the actual show. Hence me only having ONE crappy photo and some of the others as well. Hell I don't think I deserve to be there anyways but I thought I'd add some wagons in the mix. Maybe 2 years ago I could compete. Not now.

Basically there is this method... an internet vote as you go show. Which ALWAYS becomes a popularity contest... ALWAYS.

There are also the methods I've suggested a bunch of times.

Want to avoid a popularity contest then do this...

ALL cars at BAM are in the show... ALL of them... unless you don't want vendor/tuner/shop cars involved or in their own division.

You pick your divisions and your method of voting.

For ours we had clubs pick. Monster picked one. We picked one. Etc. In this case you could do it like this...

Powers that be pick. That would be the guys heavily involved in putting this on. You guys get together. Walk the ground. Pick a car. Takes 15 minutes and you can do it while shooting the ****. That's top spot.

If you have other divisions you decide who is gonna pick those and they do the same thing. (Women's, Vendors, etc.) Some car shows they'll put an easily removable sticker on say the head light. Those are the winners. You have a sticker you move your car to the winner circle at said time of awarding.

Other method is to put the chosen cars... like the cars from this thread in a special spot. Then have a box with a bunch of paper next to it and some pens. People walk up and put their vote in the box. I personally don't like this method because many folks won't vote and someone has to sit there and tally the votes. Boring.

Anyways. This is how it's been chosen to do it so that's how it is.

I propose that if this internet deal is how you're gonna do it then pick the cars right now. Put them in a NEW thread for each division if you are doing that or just one thread. Then start the actual voting. Give people a month to lobby for votes and let it go down like it always goes down. And call the award what it really is...

The most popular imprezza in the B.A.INTERNET.C

Just saying. That's what it is and there is NO shame in that. Let the voting begin... my vote is an easy one because of seen it in person. Go IntB.. WOOT.

THANKS RAY!

I agree with the whole picture internet voting thing. Its not about who has the best HDR photos, or best artsy shot of a wheel with an offset that makes it impossible to drive these cars the way there intended, its about the car, the passion, and the work that everyone of these guys have put into their car. Not my show either, but I very much do see Ray's point, and Jourdan's as well

So which one is it? You throw a little hate at the cars with the aggresive offset wheels... and looking at the thread... im pretty much the only one rocking a ridiculous offset. Then you say its about the passion that the owner puts into the car. Anyone on i-club that knows me personally knows im one of the mellowist people around and isnt into the arguing... but im lost. Which one is it??? Can we not start with the whole goddamn offset thing? jesus christ... i mean seriously, i hear enough of this **** on Nasioc ! ANYONE ON HERE can vouch that my 18x10 +30 offset wagon gets driven DAILY. My car is low as hell pushing 18x10 +30 and ive had 4 people WITH MY DOG in the ****ing car and have no rub. I dont wanna start the whole aggressive offset argument on this thread... but can we let it go. My car drives fine.. and with the turbo upgrade is a fun daily driver. Some of the guys on here have been driving well over two years on their aggressive setups that everyone said would destroy bearings and ruin rides ... and have yet to do that.
No.. not everyones car is a track beast... no we dont all beat the hell out of cars on track days.... but we all have our subies for a purpose... mine being to get me and family (including the dog) around town.

i agree with you sagonwagon... everyone knows how i love my wrx people even say its a waste to mod a wrx and that i should have just started out with an sti but i love my wrx for what it is and what i have done to it. others have seen the progress on my car and can tell that i love it. and about the wheels. whats wrong with the offset that some of us run? does it mean that when we put on wide wheels with alow offset that we no longer use our subarus like it was meant to be?

this was not an attack on you, or anyone else running an aggressive offset. the point I was making was about the artsy pic. Any creative photographer can make a great looking pic of a ****ty car. (not saying anyones cars are ****ty either.)(the fact i have to explain everything I say like this is quite annoying) (obviously if you have seen ANY of my cars IN PERSON you would not even bring this up) nor am I one to argue about stupid **** either.

If you read my post, you will see that it simply says that its about the love and work people put into their car, for ANY purpose, and not just pix and posts. Quite frankly I'm sure my suby rubs alot more then yours does.

CLIFF NOTES: I THINK THAT A CAR SHOW SHOULD BE MORE THAN SOME PICTURES AND A POSTING POPULARITY CONTEST...
