Isn't it funny that people think a vodka is "good" when it has no taste? People always seem describe what they consider "good" vodka as "smooth."
Now, I'm not a vodka guy, but shouldn't "good" vodka be evaluated by its nuanced flavors, like sweetness, etc? I think I've read that vodka tasting should be done with the vodka at room temperature because chilling it both numbs your tongue and deadens whatever flavor may have been present to begin with.
It's also funny that when people critique wine, scotch/whiskey, etc. no one thinks "smooth" is good. In fact, with single-malt scotches, the ones that are generally regarded as "good" are often the harshest ones with tons of funky flavors, i.e. peat, earth, saltwater, seaweed, etc.

Vodka = Less taste, the better. Thats the whole point of it.

I really like Ciroc, but stupid P-Diddy bought it, which frankly, taints my view of it. The other negative of it is that I can't get it at a lot of bars
My drink of choice when I'm out and about is Ketel - I get a double Ketel, chilled in a rocks glass.

cheap vodka + brita filter ftw!
for the record i have never tried it, but most people agree it works.
at a bar if i feel like vodka, i will do stoli. the uber-expensive stuff is for posers imo.
