Depending on the day I would be down to play. 22nd or the 29th works best. The Wife can play too.

Whaddup, fellerz!

We're shooting for the 8th. But now the 22nd seems more realistic since we've still gotta lock in a reservation on a field.

Yep. To get the $4 rate, you MUST be a resident of Milpitas. It looks like their form requires proof of residency.

Bump...

Any "Milpitans" out there interested in this?

We need someone to help us get our field reservation. We're hoping for Sun, 22 June.

I'll ask my buddy he'll probably down to play some too. What exactly does he have to do?

Bumparoo!

Dayum! I haven't logged/checked in for over a month, yo! Finals week got crazy the 2nd wk of June, then I got wrapped up in various house projects w/ a li'l camping at the lake during my one week break. So, now that I'm in the groove w/ the summer quarter... I have a chance to "pick the ball back up".

I was in the South Bay earlier, so I checked on availability over the next couple months. Gill Park is available in a few weeks (Sun, 27 July) and also a month later (Sun, 24 Aug). Cardoza Park wasn't free for the few dates I looked into. Unfortunately, I didn't think of checking the Sun right after our annual meet at Quarry Lakes. I can call to find out if we decide that it (Sun, 10 Aug) would be a good date as well.

Field/Park Reservation Fee Update:

For just the field, there is a $15 application fee. That's on top of the $4/hr (w/ 2-hr minimum) Use Fee. So that makes it a total of $23. That's no biggee. That's like a buck per player.

But... if we wanna reserve the picnic area, it's $55. But the field is included for 2 hrs at that price. Close to $3 a head.

So, bottom line is... $23 for the field, and hope a grill & some picnic tables are available... or $55 for picnic area & field. My "per head" figures assume that we'll have at least 10 players to each team (like in standard slow pitch).

Also important... these rates are for Milpitas residents, and we still need to find a volunteer. I'll check w/ my cousin or her husband. The "volunteer" has to submit the application & payment in person along w/ 2 forms of proof of residency.

So let's chime back in to see what's good as far as dates.
