BAIC: 1st Annual Lake Tahoe Extravaganza

Yup... gotta wait til Tues or so to get a better idea on the amounts. Forecast discussions & models I've seen thus far are only calling for "showers" on Sat & Sun. To me, that indicates maybe only 4"-6" of snow. I'm hoping we'll be closer to double that for each day. Also, I've read that the Sierras may even see snowfall by Wed.

Nothing is "set in stone" other than the dates, the meet-up spots & departure times, and our unofficial Tahoe HQ... and even these are easily adjustable, if need be (but I like everything as is). I think it was scoo*B that said early on that everyone will have their own preferences & whatnot. So me & Eric just figured to set up the basics (which we've finally got consolidated in the 1st post), then folks can figure out what (where, when, etc.) they wanna participate in.
Remember, the most important thing here is TO HAVE FUN!

A$$-rape central (aka Heavenly w/ their outrageous prices) is literally the only game in South Lake. But there are deals to be had, so the "bleeding" can be kept to a minimum.

We went w/ the early start since folks chimed in that they wanted a FULL day on the slopes on Fri. When I lived in SanJo, I typically left at ~0500 to get to the resort close to 1st chair.
Yes, it's a normal work day, but there should be no issues w/ traffic for y'all coming fr the South Bay that early.
As you mentioned, the only hiccup we'll encounter is thru Sac (fr the 50 split to near Rancho Cordova).

Sal: Thanx 4 the new thread on RS25.com. Just like w/ anyone else interested, people don't have to do ALL 3+ days. Just get out to Tahoe for what y'all can. We just wanna get as many folks together up there TO HAVE FUN on & off the mtn!

Eric: The 1st post still needs a li'l tweaking. At the least, we need to make sure the links for the locations and route are there so people know exactly where to go for the meet-ups in Pleasant Hill, Fairfield & Cameron Park.

Killin' me!
Oh my freakin'...ughhh.
I just read this thread for the 1st time today...2 months after planning a group trip to Tahoe on the same weekend...where we're staying at the...you guessed it...Station House Inn...
and, not that I was going to take my whole family to Tahoe in it, you may have read the other posts about MY SUBIE GETTING STOLEN 2 DAYS AGO. It's gonna hurt, seeing all the other Subies up there at the same hotel...and me Subie-less.
Anyhow, if you see a chinese guy (and/or my family with 2 very young kids) with a blue Honda Pilot at the hotel...buy me a drink or something!!!!
See ya up there.

Sorry to read about the ordeal you went thru, man. At least your vehicle has been recovered. Crossing my fingers, too, that justice will be served upon the at-large punks.
Stay positive about getting it back to form, and I'm glad to read that you'll be enjoying some snow time w/ the family. Getting my slide on always cheers me up.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic w/o this smiley , but N* is way up near Truckee in north Tahoe.
