as for the tickets...We need to find some good deals on heavenly. Some people dont feel like driving to kirkwood. I have no problem with driving to kirkwood. I would just buy the tickets at costco at take advantage of that deal..idk...keep eyes open!!

Yeah... while this is still TWO whole months away, I'd like to get things firmed up a bit more, too. I'll have a lot more time to get things rolling in a couple weeks. My last final is on Thur the 11th. Yippee!
Obviously, I don't mind helping you out w/ this, pending my academic responsibilities. If I don't end up taking my 1st turns of the season on the 12th, maybe I could stop by the CoCo meet that Friday so we can talk more about this stuff in person. Though it's not super necessary, but it'd be cool. Coincidentally, I just recently started taking some of my coursework online, and we don't physically meet & have had major group PowerPoint projects that have surprisingly turned out great. Also, though planned on a smaller scale for my 1st i-club boardin' overniter, most of us were relative strangers, too.
Anyway, I just talked with Cindy @Blue Jay Lodge. She thinks Jeff (aka ipozestu) talked w/ her husband. They're the hotel's management team. I verified the rates and they're mostly correct. Here's the exact details I got from her...
Fri-Sat
(Fri=$59, Sat=$69 & Sun=$79)
Sun
The single bed is typically a King, the doubles usually Queens, and the triples are a mix of Kg's & Qn's. The rooms have mini-fridges & nukes.
She also told me that the facility had recently changed owners, with the new one cutting back a number of services b/c he originally intended to sell off the land to developers. Apparently, a new convention center is slated for construction next year right across the street from them. While he changed his mind on selling, they still limited many of the "extras." They no longer offer the complimentary continental breakfast. The pool & hot tub is closed indefinitely. And they don't offer any discounted lift tix. Finally, much of the info on the website is no longer valid as the previous owner neglected to give the new one access to make any changes. So those multi-day packages I mentioned before are kaput!
While their rates are awesome & their location is more than ideal, we may have to revert back to Plan A (Best Western Station House Inn) or go back to the drawing board altogether. I dunno about y'all, but bagels, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, etc. for FREE right on the premises is really convenient when looking to get your shred on started off right! Plus, the no hot tub dealio is almost a deal-breaker, eh?
I'll give OneManArmy a call to see where he's at w/ his "in" @The Block.
For lift ticket hook-ups, more deals should materialize once the season gets underway! Hell... Heavenly (as the 3rd area resort to open) just started running a few chairs yesterday, so we've got a ways to go yet.
Think snow.

p.s. Need a deal on gear? Check out my post in the "rollcall" thread.

Just got back from Tahoe, I went by the station house inn to check it out. Its hella nice. Its literally a blck from the Lake shore and a kick *** beach spot. Its got a nice looking steakhouse/ bar right on site and its right off the strip if you want to go to the casino's and pay their bills (like I just did, lol). The parking lot would look real nice full of subies.
Btw, I saw soo many modified Suby's up there, but it doesn't look like too many Tahoe people are on this board. We should post this on iwsti and nasioc too, so they can come out.

I stayed at Montbleu, but the station house inn looks like a great place, you park right out in front of your room so the parking lot would be full of Suby's. Deffinately a good choice, the place looks pretty nice from the outside and the price is right. I'll try and find a pic.

Yeah, the Stn House is cool. A few years ago, a handful of i-clubbers met up @South Lake for Kirkwood pow. Krinkov & chocobo stayed there, while me, my friend & scarface stayed @the Holiday Inn Express. Both spots were all good, but their rates are a kinda steep. I'm thinking any place we can get for $80 or less a nite for double beds is primo! And if they've got comp conti b-fast, hot tub & discount lift tix, we're solid!
At the more pricey spots, I'm a li'l weary of issues we might have considering we're such a large group w/ a bit of mischief in mind. I'm not saying we're gonna be completely disrespectful ragers & thrash the rooms like rock stars. But we need a spot that doesn't mind a little noise. Then again, if we're straight up w/ them from the get-go, I think any spot might do just as long as all concerned parties have an understanding of "tolerable actions."

once you're fully recovered from your injury & you've bulked back up to fighting weight , just post a question back in the rollcall thread. there are a number of folks who can offer advice on hardgoods. for softgoods (jacket, pants, gloves, etc.), i'll say this... tahoe temps & climate are relatively consistent, so low-end stuff & good layering will do fine. like w/ most stuff... the tech-ier it is, the more moolah it costs. like i said, bring any questions to the other thread to keep this one locked in on the big trip in jan!

so i highly doubt that anything is gonna go down with subaru if it isnt locked yet and although i ripped kirkwood all last year and loved it...theres no way im driving all the way there if we are stayin in s.lake. might as well just shred heavenly since we are there. the lift tix are only a few $ different anyways and you would spend more than that couple$ in that drive gauranteed.
i am DEF down for this trip, but i know that i have 2 heavenly tix in my posession already and plan to use them for that wknd for sure. i say as long as we can roll up together and link up to ride and party, just find a spot to stay that makes you comfortable and just have morning brkfst meetings or whatever to group up for the day and nights
the realism is that the group will split pretty quick when skill levels come out and even for the nightlife due to the 21+/- situation. so as long as we do some cool stuff together...nobody gets a fat headache trying to please 20+ people.
oh and i am now officially single so my focus is ***** haha

What are the nightly rates again? In the 1st post, could you add the price breakdown for each night (like we had for BJL)? Thanx in advance!

Does anyone know of any killer deals for Heavenly tickets...
Also, was The Block ruled out? They have the space, free beer, use of grill, hot tub, and they didn't seem to care how loud anyone got.
