but a friend later told me he saw a mangled 240 off the side of the road with the driver outside of it, so I guess he was okay.
And just a few days ago a car stalled in the carpool lane going 280 north.
They were dead stopped in the carpool and me and some other cars were going the usual carpool pace of 75-80mph... Needless to say we all had to break very hard just to avoid crashing into that damn car! The car behind me was less then 1 inch off the *** of my car when i was breaking so I was honking like crazy. Luckily none of us crashed, but afterwards I had to accelerate out into the next lane over with 70 mph+ traffic, good thing our cars accelerate pertty quick >_<.

I saw someone do something similar when I had my civic...on 880 south by mowry.
I look in my rearview just in time to see some ricer in an accord flying from lane to lane. Then he goes flying by me cuts me off goes around a couple other people and catching someone that evidently doesn't use rear view mirrors and didn't see them coing. He cuts them off as their changing lanes get clipped and goes into a spin. As I'm going like probably 75 mph he spins DIRECTLY in front of me across the freeway..I mean I'm looking at the wide eyed asian guy.....haaaaaa. sorry but that struck me as funny..I'm a bastard....
anyways...all I can think in my head is...I have NO WHERE to go and I will hit this kid. So I remember WWTCD......what would tom cruise do.... I downshift to 3rd and punch it. I seriously drove right through his spin. we were driver door to driver door when I went by him. So apparently it really does work...drive to where they are and hope they won't be there when you get there.

Back when I lived in Marin, I was driving in my Civic on 101-S and decided to stop at the Sauseleto/Marin City exit to grab a quick bite to eat. I was driving normally, and right at the speed limit because I needed to exit the highway soon. Checked my mirrors, checked over the shoulder, and everything was clear, so I put on my signal and merged to the right.
What I didn't see was that some doofus in an 80's Ford Escort was coming up in the slow lane and something like 85-90 mph (I had already merged into the lane by this time). He, for some reason or another, didn't seem to notice the BRIGHT ****ING BLUE car directly in front of him until the last minute. He swerved to the right and tried to pass on the shoulder, got two tires in the dirt and completely lost it. The Escort spun, slid across all 4 lanes of traffic mere inches in front of my bumper and slammed right into the center divide....where two more cars piled into him.
I made sure to stick around and give the cops my statement. Apparently the guy was late to work and just pushed it too far.
