The Backpack Thread
Post up your backpacks.
Please also, mention these things:
How I use it:
Key features:
Capacity:
---------------
Quicksilver Trades backpack
I use this as my vacation back pack as well as daily usage. It's a bit bulky and doesn't have compression straps so I'll probably be getting a different bag for daily use. I really like the cooler feature.
side access laptop pocket, front pocket with organizer, 2 large main compartments, zippered side pockets, padded back, ergo straps with cell phone pocket and sternum strap, cooler pocket.
38 litre capacity / 2319 cubic inches

Sweet! I'm a backpack fiend. my latest acquisition:
My Review:
incase is a great brand - really quality pieces and good minimal style without becoming totally useless.
The Lite version of this pack is what I was looking for in a daily pack to take to work - it's a professional environment, so flashy is out of the question, but the balck matte exterior with tasteful blue lining is just right. my daily carry usually includes tablet pc's, camera, jambox speakers, headphones, notebooks and pens and maybe a soda lol - there are just enough pockets to fit everything, but only just.
the 5th star is sacrificed on interior pockets - there are a few, but they are very tight, can really only old slim things, one iphone and a few business cards maybe. I'm looking into a organizer grid card to keep in there in lieu of the missing pockets. other than that, solid build!
my faviorite feature? the upper most pocket, zippered on the outside just beside the top handle - I like to have a 'quick access' pocket, especially when traveling through TSA roadblocks for temp storage of things i need quickly - that pocket makes & breaks a bag for me.
more bags to come!

I also use 2 North Face Recons (older generations) for the exact same thing. I use one as my laptop/work bag. And I use the other for camping/2nd job bag (keep everything from a first aid kit, to tape to drum sticks in it)

Fits my D90 w/ grip, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8, 18-55mm VR, 70-300mm VR, Sigma 150mm f/2.8 Macro, SB-600 Speedlight, Mini-HDMI cable, tons of filters and little gadgets.
I love the slingshot style with the ability to turn into a backpack when I carry all of my gear.

Surge
Carries my school supplies (Grad school!)
Great protection for the laptop, separate area, lots of pockets, I use the side pockets all the time with 2 canisters of water. Good on the shoulders when carrying a lot of weight. Had it since 08

I've had my northface yavapai (I think) for about 5 years now, use it everyday to hold school books, extra tshirt or shorts, phone charger, lighters etc...anyone who knows me know I take it basically everywhere except for small store runs...took it on the plane a few times, took it camping/hiking and after 5 years its dirty, but works as new, no tears or scratches
North face ftw

Fully waterproof + expandable. Yes it doesn't a lot of small easy-access pockets, but it holds A LOT when you need to. Also, it's super comfortable as the back has some sort of carbon fiber reinforced frame system, which means odd-shaped objects won't poke out the back.

mine has an aditional main pocket as well
edit* when i get a chance ill post up my backpacks for camping. i used to camp a lot before college(eagle scout).

Oops forgot to mention that it is a Kata 3N1-30 slingshot/backpack. Being able to get my camera out of the bag without taking it off is super convenient. It is a bit on the big side though but it can easily fit 5-6 pro lenses and a pro sized body w/ a grip.

I am a backpack junky as well. I used a Jansport throughout all of highschool and partly through college. I then purchased a Seibon CF backpack. Now i mainly use my Tad Gear backpack in black for my "to go" bag as well as my everyday bag.

Old Coach messenger, but mine is brown.
I also have a few Clive backpacks that I love, but you can't get them anymore. One computer one and one all-around one that has seen some hard action without a flaw. Can't seem to find pictures of those.
