Back in a Subaru and have a request
Hi All,
After spending two years in a Miata, I got myslef back into a Subaru. I recently traded in my Miata for an 07 2.5i wagon. I like the space and comfort of the wagon, but I would like to add a little bit of an exhaut note to the car. I promised my wife that I would not have another noisy car again, but the stock 2.5i exhaust is just not cutting it for me. Hence my request: does anyone in the South Bay have a WRS or STI axleback installed on a 2.5i wagon (no other engine/intake/exhaust mods) that I can listen to. I want to make sure that it's not so loud that my wife may object. Afterall, I did promise her. In the Miata, my daughter could tell that I was coming home when I was more than a couple blocks away. Now I am just looking for something that would sound nice when I go WOT and be almost stock at idle or cruising.
I you have the setup that I am thinking about, can I take a look? I can meet you at a South Bay meet, or come check it out when it's convenient for you.
Thanks!
Kit

Stock STi muffler isn't a bad way to go. It isn't too loud, yet it isn't too gaudy.
I had a JGT500 for a WRX fitted to my L. That sucker is loud... so I guess that is one thing you don't want to do.

Thanks guys. I considered that option too. I just thought that I could save a few buck since I just wanted a slight increase in sound. I will definitely keep that option in mind but would still like to explore getting a WRX/STI axleback.
