Autox this Sunday at Great America
There's an autox event with SFR SCCA this Sunday at Great America. It starts at 10am.
The address for the site is 4920 Centennial Blvd, Santa Clara CA.
If you want to race in the morning, you should be there around 9. If you want to race in the afternoon, you need to be there before 1pm. It's $35 to race. If you're not a SCCA member, you need to purchase a weekend membership for $15. However, you can use the weekend membership to take $15 off the yearly membership if you decide to join the SCCA.
I figured I'd post this up early in hopes that some of you come out, even if just to watch. If you want to just come out to watch it's free.
For more information: 2011 Solo Championship Round 13 * San Francisco Region SCCA
Note: This is the last SCCA autox of the season until the slush season starts.

All new entrants drive like **** - its expected, so don't worry or be embarassed. LIkewise, your situation of getting the car into a high class due to mods is also common. As long as you are out for fun, who cares.

To anyone who is going to give it a try, take a quick look through the SCCA Solo 2 web site. There is loads of info about event structure, how the day runs, car classification, and, most importantly, safety requirements.
Even if you don't enter, its worth popping down to check it out.
