The father of one of the students posts on another forum I inhabit (pro-audio related).
He posted this hilarious text-conversation he had with his daughter that evening:
egg [5:20 PM]: Hi!
Ella [5:20 PM]: hello
Ella [5:20 PM]: whats up?
egg [5:21 PM]: Nuttin'. Just got home.
egg [5:21 PM]: You?
Ella [5:21 PM]: I got sent home a while ago
Ella [5:21 PM]: My teacher's hand blew up
egg [5:21 PM]: What's for dinner?
Ella [5:21 PM]: It was terrible
egg [5:22 PM]: Wait... his hand BLEW UP?
Ella [5:22 PM]: Greg made lasagna- he said to bring garlic bread
egg [5:22 PM]: No, no.. back to the hand...How did it blow up?
Ella [5:22 PM]: We could not find 2 of his fingers
egg [5:22 PM]: ??????
Ella [5:23 PM]: Well as far as anybody could tell..
Ella [5:23 PM]: he was beating up this stupid toy that would not stop making noise ..
Ella [5:23 PM]: but apparently he was beating it up with a bullet that he found..
Ella [5:24 PM]: and apparently it was still good
Ella [5:24 PM]: his hand blew to bits along with his computer and a part of his desk
egg [5:24 PM]: Whaa???? What kind of bullet?
Ella [5:25 PM]: I don't know a big one
Ella [5:24 PM]: it was awful, there was smoke coming out of his mouth
egg [5:25 PM]: Must have been traumatic. Are you ok?
Ella [5:25 PM]: yeah, I was a little shaken up, as we all were
egg [5:26 PM]: I'll bet.
Ella [5:26 PM]: It really got to me when my friend spotted his thumb on the floor
egg [5:26 PM]: Yikes.
Ella [5:26 PM]: it was bad
egg [5:26 PM]: Anyone else hurt?
Ella [5:26 PM]: no
egg [5:27 PM]: Thank God. That idiot coulda killed somebody. Did he know it was a bullet?
Ella [5:27 PM]: well of course, I don't think he knew it was live
Ella [5:28 PM]: But we all got sent home, they had to do some clean-up and find his fingers
That's one way to get out of class.
