whats worse is when people drive on 2 lane roads and they are in the fast lane going the same speed or SLIGHTLY faster than the slow lane.

I drive on 17 every day and you would not believe the number of people who go SLOW in the left lane. If passing on the right is illegal, I'm in big trouble.

If you drive 17 every day, then you know that accidents can come up on you VERY quick if you're going over 60. Its one thing to pass cars on the right when they are going 35 or 40 and you're going 45-50 on that road... its another if you're the a-hole swerving everywhere going 75 mph then eventually clipping a car, sliding around and needing me (and several other pissed off people) to stop and pull you out of your wrecked car. True story.

That said, don't drive in the left lane if you're not passing anyone. Move over and cruise all you want, since that's all you're doing.
