An ECU tuned with ProTUNER can handle anything that an Ecutek tuned ECU can. Its simply a different software package to accomplish the same goal of remapping the OEM ECU. In general, the OEM ECU can be re-mapped to handle just about any mod and/or motor out there.

Thanks

As Ed stated (thank you Ed) there is no problem with the stock ECU in controlling a setup as described but there would be some setup criteria for you to discuss with the tuner prior to tuning not limited to the following,

Compression ration of motor (most important)
MAF setup

I would really live to see some Dyno Charts before and after the Cobb AP Pro tuner installed, before I purchase this over the ecutek. Im trying to narrow my decision by next week

Cheers,
Rick

I can post graphs but to be honest unless I know what your setup is whatever I post is going to be pretty much a shot in the dark, whether I post before and after reflash or Pro Tuner graphs it makes little difference as they are just different ways to skin the same cat.

Here's an example of what kind of gains can be had over a cobb stage 2 base map:

The red is the Cobb base map and the blue is the custom tune on the same car and the same day. This was actually the best I've ever seen a Cobb base map run on any car so far, so other cars could see even more gains. Another thing to mention is that the Cobb map showed signs of knock throughout the RPM range while the custom tune is knock free. To be fair, this custom tune was performed with an Ecutek reflash before ProTUNER was released, but a ProTUNER tune would be exactly the same.

Thanks

just what I was looking for. Very nice. That extra 150 for the dyno time is well worth it

That tune was actually done on the road, but a dyno tune would likely be very similar.

Thanks

If you look at the title, its about AccessPORT users in the bay area. I also checked with Mike if it was alright to post in the thread. Maybe you should leave it up to Gruppe-S to police their own thread? Just a suggestion...
