Would there be any benefits of tuning a Cobb CA stage 1 car? I realize stage 1 is relatively safe, but with our poor gas quality and every car a little different, I'd like to get as much power out of stage 1 as safely as possible. Stage 2...not for a couple of years. Also, if I do end up getting tuned, what kind of difference would I see if I end up moving to 6000ft....Yosemite. Thanks!

You would see benifits over the basemap, how much exactly is very difficult to determine as each car varies slightly. Your map would respond as a stock car map would at the extended elevation basically loosing some power.

We are now putting the finishing touches on adding the AccessPorts into our staged packages and will be offering our own basemap upgrades free of charge when purchasing the parts from us.

For example.

If you are running a Gruppe-S stage one (Uppipe, Downpipe and Catback) and buy the stage 2 (Vf34, Injectors and Fuel pump) we will give you our basemap at no cost to you, obviously there are benifits to having a custom tune but we would like to offer this option to those of you that would prefer not to spend the additional monies at the time of purchase.

Thumbs up +1 for Pro tunes

I think that depending on your hardware a pro tune will always be better. It may not give you a huge boost in peek horse power, but I bet your Dyno curves will look awsome.
Tweeking the FAR and timing will get you a solid power curve so that peek number is actually usable. This also means you can mix and match your setup to achive the best results. I am not an expert, but I am sure the local Bay Area vendors have their favorite parts and can give you all the data.

Honestly I am really happy to hear that the Pro tuner is now avalible for COBB. I haven't done anyhting to my Stock 05 STi because I have no cash.. LOL

Now I only need to get a sponser and I will be set..

Something I would like to add is that we are fully stocked on race fuel (well 100 and C16 anyway) so we can easily map for higher octanes when desired.

0 4 P S M W R X Yes we have them instock, WRX units are $595 and all DBW units (STI, LGT, FXT) are $645.

With regards to engine mounts we are BO for another 2 weeks.

traction issuez We have no problem tuning a hydra, drop Mike a line at the shop or swing by to discuss with him the particulars I know he has mapped a few of them already. This deal is ongoing so you should be good for sometime.
