Aston Martin rental in the bay?

Places to rent an Aston? My girlfriend found one place in Oakland but their mileage limits were ridiculous (1200 bucks for 50 miles). Can't seem to find any others, I thought for sure there would be more. It's for a birthday in May, thanks for the help!

Bo

They're all a fortune. Someone has to pay back the insurance and purchase price of that car.

Rent a Geo and go garbage can bowling, way more fun.

The fortune wasn't problem, it was the lack of being able to drive anywhere worthwhile due to mileage

I'm assuming you plan on staying in the bay for this birthday? I know there's a few places in so cal if you wanted to have the birthday down there.

Yeah, theres more than a few places down south, but I was looking to stay local. Just didn't want a 50 mile leash, most of the other cars rented come with 100 miles but the Aston gets 50

QFT- you need to be in a more high roller market like NYC, Miami, So Cal or 'Vegas to get a pimp ride like that...

Looks like 1G-1500 is typical day rate, but that 50 miles stuff sounds whack, now, 50 miles "included" before you pay another $2 per mile or so is more what I'd expect.

Man, seeing there are that many companies able to compete at this game in places like Floriduh and NYC- really makes me wonder why isn't anyone doing it here?

I think I see a business opportunity....

50 miles are included, but after that it was ****12***** dollars each mile!!! The going rate seemed to be 2 bucks per mile at other places (one other place in the bay rented exotics, but no AM's AND 100 miles were included), but for some reason my girlfriend was quoted $12 per extra mile. That was the sticking point, to do a minimally reasonable drive ~100 mi = 550 bucks extra!!!

You could pull a Ferris Beuler (spelling ??) and throw that ride in reverse!

I would love to drive around in a DBS on my birthday. Damn, I wish it wasn't so expensive and 50 miles is whack.

It should be $500 base price, plus $1 a mile.

For best results, set the contents of said garbage cans ablaze first...or so I've been told.

OT: There are (kinda). Club Sportiva is one. I don't think the bay area is as image conscious/materialistic as LA/NYC/Miami, so a sports car club will suffice

Club Sportiva is pretty cool though. Even with the entry level membership ($3k during their membership drive) it works out to being able to take out the f355 for a week. Basically with that and the I think $8k membership you get to take out http://www.clubsportiva.com/paddock/enthusiast.htm but you need to have an ~$18k/year membership to take out http://www.clubsportiva.com/paddock/elite.htm
