I say fight the ticket with trial by written declaration.
What do you have to lose?
If the officer doesn't respond back with his written response, you win.
If he does respond, and you lose, you can still go to court in front of a judge.
If he doesn't show up, you win.
If he does show up, then you can either;
1. Try to fight it out
2. Give up and ask for Traffic school/reduce fine.
Basically, the process takes so long, and with luck, the officer won't remember anything, or he will be too lazy to do both the written response, and show up to court.

true that ... i had my 1st speeding ticket for going 100+ on highway 5 at 12:30 am coming from Oregon on 70 mph zone. Luckily cop just put me down for 96 mph and i couldn't take traffic school because over 25 mph .. but I learned my lesson and paid the ticket off ... 354 dollars. gl 2 OP for getting the ticket decreased and trying to go to traffic school

well you can go to court and plead no contest and hopefully the judge will drop the fine down a little, thats what I did years ago for a speeding ticket and the fine went down. Though you were driving pretty fast so the judge may not have any sympathy and in that case you gotta except what you did and pay for it.

Bars close at ~ 1:30, street racers are probably in every cop's vocabulary, and driving a subaru doesn't help. Factor in the fact that you eyes were bloodshot and your car is modded wouldn't help your case.
Since you haven't taken traffic school in over 18 months, you're allowed again. Since you're able to do that, it's probably better just to plead guilty and take traffic school.
