Anyone want to help with an STI spring install? (408, 650, etc...) **Updated**

Hey all--

I've got a set of springs to install on my 2006 STI and would very much like to learn how to do it myself. I've read some online tutorials, and while I'm convinced that it's not very hard, it seems that there are a bunch of little things to keep track of... and I would be leery trying to do it all myself.

Is anyone (experienced with this install) willing to lend a hand? I have all the necessary tools (wrenches, sockets, jack stands), would just need to rent a spring compressor. I'll buy us lunch, dinner, beer, soda, whatever. I'd even be willing to PAY you to help me. I would even come to you.

Thanks!

Hey. When Bell_R says he'll buy beer, he buys a lot of beer. Hehe. Great guy. I still have all the beer. I stashed it away in my closet somewhere so my roomies wouldn't jack it. Haha.

I might be down to help out. I've installed many sets of springs for people.

Where are you located and do you have a garage? I have all the tools already.

I live in Palo Alto, in a condo complex. All of the parking is underground. On weekends there is TONS of room.

Again, I'd pay you for your time.

Hey Bell, I have some some experience with spring install... and what a coincidence, I have some jdm pinks to put on my own car... (I have tools, the only thing missing is a helper). Maybe we can work out a deal to get both our cars done in one weekend?

That would be awesome!

My springs aren't here yet, I'm expecting them early this coming week. Would you be up for an install the following weekend?

Let me know.

Sweet. Looks like there's a chance that they could be here before Friday. I'll pm you when they get here and we can work it from there.

Dang I'd love to help, but I'm pretty booked these days. Post up when you will be installing and I'll see if I can make it too.

Right on, man. Another set of hands is always great.

Springs haven't shown up yet. I'm expecting them either today or tomorrow.

BIG thumbs up for Andy helping out. I couldn't be happier with the result and I learned a LOT today. Don't hesitate to call if you change your mind about next weekend!
