I believe one of the users on here is a dealer for Torco (I think that's the name). His name is Ash, but I can't remember his screen name.

I use a fuel additive which works as a fuel derivative and boosts octane called Freedom Fuel. Octane booster doesn't mess up your injectors. If you run your car on empty a lot, that'll will clog up the injectors and filter faster. It's better to keep it maintained regularly. You can also run a lil bit of 100 octane every month. Like a quart every week or so.

I have tried a few different octane boosters in my suby, and came to the conclusion that most of them are crapola......the best "boost" in performance, and most noticeable change came from mixing a bit of 100 octane in with the 91 when you fill up. I have never tried Torco, or Tolulene, but I have heard that those both are a very effective additive.

I've used booster twice. the first time it was because I had put in the wrong grade fuel (didnt pay attention and the buttons at the pump were the opposite of the station I usually go to). The second time I added it in before doing a rally-x but did not notice any change in anything

I love how this topic turns up every year or so. If you google in depth you can find tons of serious testing people have done with reguards to octane boosters.

My research for a way to run 93+ octane fuel everywhere I go turned up three options:

Run 4.5 gallons of 100 unleaded per tank
or
Run 1.5 gallons of toluene per tank
or
Run 16oz of torco unleaded accelerator per tank

The only way could get a good price on torco was to become the west coast distributor. I have been running torco for almost 45,000 miles without trouble. 16oz normally and 32oz at the track (just for knock protection).

I keep plenty around and I-clubbers get it cheaper than you'll find it online.

Feel free to PM with questions

Ash
