its pretty easy to tune them. Only three needles low speed leave alone idle really shouldnt be screwed with. High speed is the only one you need to screw with.

off road trucks get pretty expensive. check on craigslist or on ebay to see if you can find like a used one for half the price.

Damn. Now i know thats the one I want to get. I was looking at tamiya and traxxas but I like the sprint. Its cheaper with the brushed motor and AM radio but I can swap that stuff out with the good ****.

I dont know alot but I know the only way to go with electric motors is brushless. If you dont then you have to replace the brushes in them often.

Word.

I remember when I used to race my 1/10 electric on-road competitively, I would often have to buy new brushes, install them, and break them in. Not to mention, I'd also have to true the comm every now and then.

my electrics... well i just have to get them charged.
Yah, NorCal is the place to go! Eric and Kevin are great guys and they'll help you with any RC questions. NorCal is hosting a 1/8 Nitro offroad series race starting this month on my bday, the 16th! I was gonna race but racing 1/8 nitros add up quickly with buying nitro fuel, and tires that'll last one race day >< They are also starting the asphalt nitro/electric onroad series this month as well.

I just picked up a Baja 5SC. Are you one of the guys that run at NorCal during practice days? I usually see a silver and/or white bug eye there, but never met the actual owners. I've got the wrb bugeye with orange wheels.

Well we.raced our 1/5 there once last year but it never took off so the other guys just practice there.

I normally bring my Toyota truck not my STi.

I'm waiting for the racing season for the off road to begin and maybe ill start coming out again...ill probably racing my 2 and 4wd open class SCT...

rc are great little toys. i used to race out at nor cal hobbies awhile ago when everyone was addicted to 2wd slashes. had a ton of cars from drifters, to rally cars, to micros, to onroad racers, to 1/8 brushless. i sold a bunch of my cars to save money for my wrx but i still have a e-revo but i will be selling it soon to try and get exhaust for my car. it sucks because its the best rc i have owned.
