Anyone know where I could rent a DeLorean?

I'm attempting to travel back to 1985.

There was one in Castro Valley the other week. You can tell the car wasnt designed with that engine in mind, it was sitting well below the body.

My dad used to have one. It only had 4,200 miles on it when we sold it. It's a pretty cool car. It handled like it was on rails and was a great highspeed cruiser, but it was pretty underpowered. They use a 3.2 liter volvo v6 that makes like 170hp and runs through a peugot 5 speed, so you're right, the engine wasn't designed for the car. Oh and the car is called a DMC-12. DeLorean was only the name of the company that made it.

p.s. Instead of waxing them you use stainless steel sink cleaner spray and brillo pads. No joke.

There's an old one collecting dust at a garage near S & 18th in Downtown Sacramento IIRC. But you'll still need to link-up with Libyan nationals and steal their plutonium.

Not if he gets a later model. A simple bannana peel and some old soda cans will do the trick.

IIRC, DeLorean made them. I believe General Motors had something to do with them and same with Europe.
