so THAT's how the guy did it. at my work, my signal drops and goes to roaming all the time. and I hated that. I gone through all the menu and can't get it to verizon network only, so I finally took it in to the shop. The guy just punch in something really quick and wouldn't tell me how he did it. I just wanted to do the same on my GF's phone and don't want to have to go in again. And want to be able to trun it back on if I really need it. Anyway, thanks for that info!

To force to a digital signal thats not roaming, do menu 0 000000 4 and choose P_REV 4. The phone switches back after about 24 hours or if you turn the phone off.
Be careful with the settings in there though, before you make any textual changes, note what they were in case you break something.
You can also grab a USB data cable from eBay, then get bitpim to backup your phone book, do bulk entry, upload your own pics or MP3 ringtones and not pay verizon gobs of money to personalize your phone.
