Anyone know where I can get a LG phone unlocked locally (walnut creek/berkeley area?)
My friend gave me a LG phone (G4020 locked on AT&T network, i use cingular) and i'd like to be able to use it before leaving for vegas tomorrow evening.
If you have any suggestions on where to go please post em here.

210 Clement St in San Francisco. Called sunshine wireless or smth they unlock for 10-15$. Call em (yellow pages) meybbe they can do over the phone.

yea I wish it was that easy, i've been searching for a while now...I already havea data cable on order, but I am leaving town tomorrow and i'll be gone by the time mail comes in tomorrow.

my phone is locked to AT&T and I get even get into the menus with my cingular sim card.
but the menu is not what I need to get into to unlock it, I need a "restriction code"

when I put in my cingular sim card it asks for a restriction code and according to the cell phone forums those codes can unlock the phone...ohh well...I have the cable on order, but its just got in right now, guess i'll have to wait till I get back
