Anyone know where to get an OVERSIZED lambo shift **** ball?
I sat in a 6speed lambo and fell in love with the shifter. It's a metal ball that is roughly the size of a tennis ball... Sounds weird, I know, but it felt soooo nice.
Do you think something like this could be had for the STi 6speed? (Keep in mind we have the reverse pullup lever thing).
Here's a pic:
I know it may look weird to some, but I friggin LOVED it. It was very solid and made shifting feel really nice. I'd love one for my STi! I loved how heavy it felt, it made shifting feel smoother somehow.

that "somehow" is called leverage. I always laughed at those aftermarket titanium shift *****, thats the one place that you WANT to be heavy, especially if you have a shortshifter.
Here ya go

Check out the Blox 490LE available from SpeedElement. Not quite Tennis ball size but def oversized and weighs close to a pound.

It's a little smaller than a tennis ball but TWM makes one,

I'm not sure what brand, but my dad uses one of those mondo shift-***** on his mr2. I really like the hefty momentum feel, but I also think that one loses a little precision because of the tendency for the momentum to overcome notchyness and other feelings I want to notice. For this reason I prefer lighter ***** for my (excuse the cliche) glass wrx transmission.

Dan, go with Chris at WC Lathewerks. I've had him make me 5 different *****, every one is amazing
If you go with stainless, ask him to beadblast it. It comes out gorgeous, I have two of them.
He'll do anything within reason.
