Okay, first of all, neither one of those ever had the world record for 0-60. From what i've seen, that RS200 was a full-on racecar (FIA group B). In that case, it would be up against top fuel dragsters that do 0-60 in about 0.4 seconds. Maybe the lingenfelter vette is the fastest street legal car 0-60, but I doubt that because I have a video of a viper making 988 HP on a dyno without nitrous (yes it has nitrous) while spinning its tires on the dyno. i think its a doug lavin motorsports car but those things are absolutely the definition of ridiculous.

Actually, the RS200 did at one time for sure hold the world record for 0-60. I know this, have read it many places. It was also a street car as well as a Group B Rally car. The world winning 0-60 time was taken from a OEM street car.
The LPE Vette may be faster but - the RS200 is a factory produced car while the LPE Vette is a tuner car (albeit stupidly fast) and is not comparable to the RS200 (for this purpose).
Keep in mind, a Viper can make gobs of power - and spin it's tires wherever it likes, but the RS200 is AWD. This means all four wheels are.. Yeah.
The RS200 as fast as it is was measured as a factory produced street car in the UK.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but no-one is entitled to their own facts. Go look it up.
