Anyone have a portable air compressor and car skills?
I need to air up the tires on my GL-10 so I can push it out to the street to work on it. My landlord won't let me work on it anymore, but he wants it out of the parking lot and I have one week to get it gone before he tows it. I also have to smog it this month before the temp tag thing expires.
Here's the deal with the car. It hasn't run in 4 years. I've replaced the fuel filter, air filter and valve cover gaskets. The car is definitely getting spark, and it cranks just fine, but won't start. The fuel pump wasn't making a sound, so I replaced it, and the new one seems to be operating normally. The car has about 1.5 gallons of old gas mixed with fresh 91 octane (about 50/50). After replacing the fuel pump, it reaaaally wants to start, but it just can't quite do it. Going to try starter fluid/carb cleaner as per Subaru Specialist Aaron's advice. I'm woozy from gas fumes. The room is spinny.

lemme know... i have a couple portable on-board compressors on my truck (for airing up tires after 4 wheeling)...
no car skills though... well just enough to end up with a bolt here and there after disassembly and reassembly...

Well if it weren't for me shearing the teeth off of second gear in my transmission yesterday I might've been able to bring a compressor down tonight...oh well. Good luck with your project Kellie!
Oh and by the way, I don't have car skills but I do have bow hunting skills
