cheap?????

hopefully, the snow will hold off long enough for no chain control. if chain control is up, the balogna(balonie) skin stock sti tires wont get me past them.

please let me know if anyone knows of some cheap tires to get me up the pass. i am going to buy blizztacks or some high po snow tire when i get up tomorrow.

thanks!

Are you sure you won't be able to get by? I've gone up there with black rims and ES100's when chain controls were in affect and I told them I was AWD and they let me go. Never even bothered to look at my tires to see if they were M+S.

i suggest you order some snow tires for the sti, you can drive my truck home and when the tires come in i can get them mounted for you for free and then drop your car off for you up in truckee. how does that sound?

not with the OEM tires that came with STi, if this is the car josh is talking about...

the RE070s are as good on snow as paris hiltons is for <fill in your fav south park reference...>

thanks for the suggestions...

at this pint i am going to pray to the snow gods to break long enough tomorrow in the am for the cahin control to drop so i can limp home. IF i do get home (truckee) i will then take off the rims, pu the car on jack stands, and take the wheels to my tire guy on thursday, and have him mount the blizztak lm-22's i ordered a few hours ago.

i just need to get OVER the pass. i will literally be driving slow as a snail to get home. these tires are DANGEROUS in the snow. if i can get by control i will. but i might just buy chains for the hell of it. they are cheap for the most part (i hate putting them on, ugg....) and would at least allow some semblance of control until i can get home. i do get fearfull of a loose chain/cable destroying my paint though.

all i can do is wait for now and see what the weather does. i really need to get home SO I CAN GET MY SKIS!!!!! ARRRRGGGGG

Ouch! It's pounding in Tahoe as we speak and since it's raining pretty good in Santa Rosa right now, it will be headed there shortly in the form of snow. Hope you don't miss the powder day!

You goon.

Should have ordered them from TireRack and had them shipped to me. I would have mounted them for you in no-time.
