Anyone has access to Manheim or Black Book Auction Site?
Just wondering if anyone here has access to the Manheim or Black Book car wholesale auction site? I was told that a lot of dealers use these sites to value the trade-in value. Was thinking about trade-in my Lexus for a bigger family SUV so wanted to get some idea on the value. Thanks.

I used to have access to Manheim and it's not very good for seeing values of cars since most cars on the auction block need work so the prices they pay are lower since they need to put work into the cars to get it ready for sale. Dealers can use Manheim to see what some cars sold for during the last auction so they can get an idea of what price range they could possibly get a similar car for but very few cars are perfect from there. I know I didn't help you at all but hopefully it gave you some insight into how they could possibly use Manheim.

xqwizit, thanks for the info, it's helpful. I know these aution prices are low because the buyers need to factor in reapir and/or re-conditioning costs, etc. I just want to get some idea so I can evaluate the trade-in value properly.
Rescuer, can you recall some prices from your memory? J/K.
