The whole "your engine is blown" even when it's not scam he has been doing for awhile now.

I've known guys with Evos that have been there for months, got fed up and took the cars out of the shop to bring to another and half the cars are missing, different parts, etc.

Not that I can speak for this shop... but marking up sublet labor is pretty standard practice. The whole point of business is to sell things for more than they cost you.
Making $25/hour on a $175 tuner is not a huge markup.
BUT making a mess out of the car AND than sending it to the tuner anyways. The using your car as an engine shuttle is total BS. I would be one thing if he'd brough back a couple of gaskets, but an engine is heavy and could really tear up a truck

Yes, especially given the fact that I was told my car would be towed there. Not only was that a lie (putting miles on my car and wasting my gas), but he actually benefited by using my car to transport goods for his shop.

Moving huh? F**** I better get my car back soon before they pull some bs and flee. Im So mad I did'nt take my car out the chance I had.

I was going to take my car out because I couldn't afford the $2,700 they were going to charge for my transmission. They said "ok but we have to charge you $570.00 for diagnostics and taking out your tranny" They were was never anything in the paper work saying there would be any kind of charges for that.

Then They said "oh and bring cash cause our credit card machine is broken"

I'm heading down there right now to pay them a surprise visit!
