did you really need to turn this thread into that based on the post of one person? I can tell you that we help out a lot of our customers above and beyond all the time and many of our customers are happy to help us out when necessary.

Your comment was really out of left field and unnecessary. I don't think you're doing GST any favors with comments like that.

Thanks

I think 04cali offered it up for an oil change thinking they would find it to be a good deal. Not in a sense of trying to get something out of it because of entitlement. Others got defensive/whatever you want to call it because they know peeps at GST, EQ, whoever and comments were made.

CALM DOWN. I've called around to multiple shops when in trouble and have never been turned away, told to call somewhere else that gives out free info (had this happen at a non subaru place before), etc etc. I'm sure Mike just checked pm's before the thread because clicking One new notification or w/e was easier than going through the steps to get back to the thread. Made his gratitude towards said donator public to give credit to him. /end story

This is i-club. We don't need feuds. We're above that. All of us.

except for freshrex (BOOM! Just brought up a frshrex crack months later!)

I just don't understand the drama over something so trivial. Grow up people.

replacing turbo(1 brand new turbo) and supporting mods a few times, case venting, brand new 05 heads, pcv delete variations, and a shortblock rebuild didn't chase away the issue. Went to catch can. Dumping that thing got really old really fast. Went to AOS. That reduced oil consumption closer to normal specs by piping it back into the oil spout but exhaust became really poppy as if there was a ton of air contamination(pressence of oil) I'm now scheduled for complete stage 1 shortblock replacement at end of october. None of the existing parts will be used in the new shortblock build. The transplant time should be 1 week as the motor will be pre-built. A few extra days will be expected to allow for an initial break in and base map development for pre-tune break in period.

Wow...that sucks.

If you're going through that much oil, the rings are probably done, which will show up on the piston domes as clean spots.
Hope the oil consumption didn't **** up the new heads & valves.
