You asked for something. The guy that gave the pulley to Mike didn't ask for anything it expect anything.

As I said your 90k labor is covered as is putting on your crank pulley!

I'm sorry Mike, but that's a dick move right there. You could have easily left out that 2nd sentence, since all it does is rub it in 04caliwrx's face and asks for pats on the back from the rest of the i-club community.

So what if he did? Thats like you posting I want a free part and hoping a Vendor or shop will give it to you.

Like we all here actually owe any shop here a favor. I pay for all my services peformed. Never go in expecting anything to be free.

You never know, a vendor may just do that. Besides, Mike and other vendors/shops have done great things and gone above and beyond than what's expected for people.

"People who expect something for nothing often get the latter."

The racing crowd gets it. People share parts all the time to get other back in the race...or to the race. Even their competitors. Did you really think that Mike was asking for a free pulley off someone?

The EQ crowd obviously does not subscribe to this mentality.

Well then that is your prerogative. Maybe you should have let him offer the compensation instead of demanding one in exchange. Or maybe he would have asked what you would like in exchange. Just saying.
