MR2 god? I know a guy around here who owns an MK1 stock for gas save. An MK2 Turbo for rallying, and an MR2 Spyder tricked out. He's one helluve an MR2 fan. But the huge difference is that MR2 owners or most of them are all jerks. Or so I've heard from some of the nice MR2 owners.

kinda off topic but i drove my frends FD last night and here r my feelings. the lag was unacceptable to me it felt like i had a HUGE AC on b4 the turbo kicked it. however, once the turbo kicked in it pulled hard. faster then a mr2 turbo, felt abt the same as my cousins WRX with a VF30 i believe. throttle response was really bad, i could only feel either lag or boost. its a biaych driving the car in locals with no kind of torque but it could be very fast on the freeway. but again it could just be me cuz i drive a NA.

turbo lag in an FD you kidding? Those things have more torque than a WRX at like 1000 rpms earlier and weight 300 less pounds!

OT, but I was pretty shocked to learn that the VR4 had 315 lb ft @ 2500 rpms...

The Rocky Mountain MR2 Owners Club is full of some really knowledagble people and besides I-club, and the z club, are some of the nicest people on online forums.

Though i do agree... some of the people on MR2boards are jerks
Cheers

Jerks?

From my experience, there is the highest percentage of professional, mature, Mechanical engineers who understand on a scientific level what they are talking about on DSMtalk and board.mr2faq.com.

Their maturity and knowlege base make most of us on nasioc and iclub look like 10 year old pansies.

Some people on the MR2 board are jerks. The MR2 is a PITA to work on. eg. haveing to drop the exhaust to change an alternator. It is fast, and is a blast to drive.

I still own one, but am in the process of selling it. 12.8 @ 110 mph. I really love my MR2, but it is finally time to let her go. I don't have much time to enjoy her anymore. IMHO, the MKII MR2 is one of the best looking cars out there, ever.
