i think the biggest joke is "we'll pay tax for you!" which just means its 8.25% off.

Overall that may be the case, but that's the same as EVERY year. The only real deals on BF are the ones in the ads, the crazy ones. The deals on most merchandise comes after BF, especially on Boxing Day online (monday).

Its ridiculous. Even more ridiculous are the lunatics who camp out a day in advance to save a few hundred on a thousand+ purchase.

Take it from me black friday is a joke. Some of our cameras were raised in price last week and for black friday the price went back to normal. I work at circuit city btw

well if you do save 400 bucks for staying out for 4 hours wouldn't you? unless you make $100 a hour.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I think everyone is doing this. Prices were less 2 weeks ago.

I'm not that big of a consumerist. I value my mental health and low stress more than a nominal savings on something I probably don't really need, but manipulated into feeling that I do. Besides, there are good savings year round for the savvy consumer, I don't need to buy into the holiday hype machine and go insane in the process.

I'm going to the range for free at Chabot and will be shooting instead of wasting time and more money then ammo cost on pointless things I do not need. My family is doing it simple this year, day after Christmas we are going to Oakhurst then travelling to Yosemite and enjoying the outdoors and our family being together
