if you don't get gas tomorrow, u'll need it the next day...not liek u can avoid getting gas...If this really were to happen, the gas stations would just be twice as busy on the following day.

If you really wanna boycott then just buy gas at 1 gas station and boycott the rest until they drop...

true that...10million people not getting gas one day means 10 million people getting gas over the next 1-3 days.

The oil companies will be ready. So they loose a bunch of money one day. next 3 days get it all back.

Ok well Everything you guys have argued about the boycott being dumb and pointless sounds pretty good, now do you folks who disagree with the boycott have any better ideas on making gas cheaper?

it would work just great if we could get commercial truckers, commercial airlines and the military to do it.
Despite the millions of gas guzzling H2's on the road, all of our personal transportation accounts for only a fraction of domestic petroleum consumption.

Nice idea, but even if you got 80% or the people on board, it wouldn't even be a blip on the oil company radar, gas prices are going to go up to the point that people quit taking holidays mid-summer, I figure it will peak at about 3.20/gal for premium hereabouts-

and then they'll fall back down to about where we're at now -in time to get folks excited about re-electing the idiot son of an a**hole and his criminal posse to another 4 years of looting the country and pissing off the rest of the world.

That would never work out to anyone's benefit either. So what if you boycot one place's gas? How long do you boycott, 1 day, 1 week? The others will raise their prices a bit due to extra people at their pumps, the one being boy cotted will lower theirs, people will start buying the cheaper, and eventually they'll just even back out.

Only way prices will drop is if there is an increase in supply, an anticipated increase in supply, or there's is overall less demand(not just one day), so start carpooling, or taking mass transit if you are going to ***** about gas prices

I'm buying gas tomorrow because if I wait until Thursday, the price will probably have jumped another 3¢ per gallon.

This so-called boycott is a hoax, folks! However, if some of you are just hellbent on making a 'statement', have at it because it just means that I will have an easy time finding an open pump even during the rush hour. Have a nice Wednesday!

the only way to lower gas prices is through basic econ 101, reduce the demand so that the supply price reaches a new equilibrim point

is a car club really prepared to reduce the amount of driving that they do with their car?
