Don't have any suggestions for finding one on the cheap, but I can verify the quality and comfortableness (is that a word) of these chairs. My grandfather had one that my dad inherited and I've spent many a comfortable hour in that bad boy.

Meh, had one, didn't like it. I really wanted to like it, but after a while, I decided I just didn't like the lower back support. Plus it was cold in winter.

^You'd certainly think that. I'm sure you've checked Craigslist and whatnot, but you should also keep an eye out for auctions.

I would check on Craigslist and maybe SFgate, the Oakland Tribune or the San Jose Mercury News sites for auction listings. You sometimes find them listed in the classifieds.

My Dad has one, they are worth the investment. It's the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in as far as a desk chair goes.
