when asking if anyone has leads for a job, it helps if you mention what kind of job you are looking for. do have experience in anything? what do you want to go into even if you don't have experience? stuff like that.

Try Ameirca's Tire. They hire at $8+ an hour with no prior employment. You can also try Costco. They start at $10 an hour, though the job may be a bit tougher to get. Lastly, if you actually want to LEARN something about sales and the like, try RadioShack. I can not begin to tell you how much I leaned working there (both the good and the bad.)

Not bad choices either. I'm a firm believer in actually learning something from your first few jobs though. That being said, if you want to work in an auto parts store apply at any of the Monument Auto parts. There is one on Galindo in Concord, one on Pacheco/Contra Costa in Pleasnant Hill/Pacheco, and one in Pittsburg. The people that work for Monument are WAY more knowledgeable than any the people working at any of the places you listed.

-Chris

p.s. it's Kragen with a K.

Craig's list is good, another thing to try is to look at web sites for companies you might want to work for, (I don't know what you're into, but whatever it is theres probably at least one or two companies in the bay area that do it- ) and hit their "join us" or "positions open" links.

It is a lot better finding a job you like than settling for one just because it was "all you could find" at the time.
