Any doctors in the house?
So... I'm just recovering from Bronchitis this week. I had the flu last week and it became Bronchitis at the end last week. So that meant I was MIA from the gym for 2 weeks which makes me feel really antsy because I go to the gym pretty religiously. I was wondering is it ok for me to head back to the gym today? My Bronchitis is still lingering, but got WAYYY better, I'm just having small soft coughs here and there, but nothing painful and phlem is pretty light. Is it recommended? Or should I wait another day?

if you find out youre not contagious. Don't want to give 1 sickness to 10, to 100 etc.
I've always wondered if youre significantly less contagious near the end of a sickness, or just a tiny bit less. Because if you cough in someone's mouth, for example lol, chances are they will get sick no matter what level of sickness youre at.
all assumptions tho

See the thing is... I don't think I'm that contageous... Today feels a lot different. The last few days, I was extremely tired all day and was weak. Today, I feel really strong and energetic and just coughing out of force really.

You should still take it slow your first day back to the gym. If I were you I'd start off doin some chin ups and pull ups. If you dont have a bar, just do hella pushups er sumthin

I'm no doc, but I've asked my bro in law who is a doc, if you're sick, pretty much the best thing to do is to finish your medications (if they're antibiotics) and to get rest. Exerting yourself may cause slower healing and in effect, make you sick longer.

the thing is, when you are sick, your body is under stress. and working out, (i used to go to the gym religiously too until my tendonitis) is putting stress on your body as well. when you workout your muscles get the rush of blood and stretching which means it needs repair. if you are sick, your body is rushing to help your immune system and if you work out on top of that, it will have to repair your muscles too. so i suggest you dont work out until u are fully healed.
goodluck.
