Hmm, didn't know about modem lease. I've got mine for free about a year ago when I signed up. Do they allow customers to buy their own modems?

 

That's smart. I shall go with the cancel and signing up with brother idea.

Btw, I remember cancelling with comcast a few years ago. They waited 1 day until I got a call back. They should understand that once you cancel you need a new internet service ASAP and not have them wait a day. They make money either way.

 

If you were grandfathered in, then yes. If you weren't, you can use whatever you want, but you will still be charged a lease fee for the modem they send you.

 

sorry, lost track of this thread for a few days. been really busy lately!

anyways, ended up getting re-upped w/AT&T for another 6mb @ $23/mo, 6 month promo (no contract). got offered a year @ $31/mo for 12 mo commitment, but took the short term deal.

don't wanna say who helped me out, just in case he doesn't want me to put it out there (& get swamped w/additional requests). i'll just let him post up if he wants to take credit. but thanks again, man, I really appreciate your help!!

thanks to everyone else for your input & help too! i'm selling my WRX w/in the next couple of months (hopefully), but i'll still be around!

LOL glad that person could help. Remember when your promotion ends, just threaten to cancel. It works about 85-95% of the time, but you have to sound convincing. Make it seem like the service sucks but its bearable.

LAKERS are still LA's team & EVERYone's team! that other LA team hasn't won anything yet... & won't. they're fun to watch, but aren't ready yet.

as for the warriors, props to what they've done thus far. always been a fan of mark jackson, incl as a player. but they haven't won anything real yet either. hate to say it, but they won't anytime soon either. it's not just their own doing. too many really good teams nowadays.

lol just yanking your chain I know how much of a fan you are of the Lakers. You used to hijack threads (esp Warriors threads) about how great your Lakers are

As for the dubs, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make the playoffs this year. They have too many areas that need fixing.

 

hahaha i know you're just messing around, as i am. well, sorta. the LAKERS haven't been that great/the same LAKERS of young for a while, but they're starting to get it back together. can't fight Father Time tho, so i'm hopeful, but realistic.

Clips & w's are good, young squads. Clips have more pieces to the puzzle, but they're not there yet. nice to have so many improved teams in the L tho.
